WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congress is poised to pass a water infrastructure bill, the Thomas R. Carper Water Resources Development Act of 2024, that supports several important ecosystem restoration projects.
"The storms and droughts of 2024 make it clear that climate-fueled disasters are damaging water bodies across the country, harming the communities and wildlife that depend on them," said Abby Tinsley, vice president for conservation policy for the National Wildlife Federation. "This bill greenlights several critical restoration efforts and elements of the bill make it easier to find equitable solutions to longstanding water resource challenges. We thank Chairmen Graves and Carper and Ranking Members Larsen and Capito for their leadership."
