The Fairfield University Store to Host Official 'Who Was?' Ultimate Fan Experience August 3

This fun, free family event will feature trivia games, giveaways, and more!

With over 250 titles, Penguin's Who Was?,What Was?,Where Is?, and What Is the Story Of? books tell the incredible stories of trailblazers, legends, innovators, cool places, and important events. The Fairfield University Store will be host to one of three Official 'Who Was?' Ultimate Fan Experience in Connecticut, which will take place from 12 - 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, at the downtown bookstore, located at 1499 Post Road, Fairfield, CT.

This fun, free family event will feature trivia games, giveaways, and more - so get ready to get hooked on history and win exciting prizes. Each event will have activities for the whole family, including:

  • The Who Was? TriviaShow- Show off your knowledge about sports, science, pop culture and beyond in a game show-inspired trivia contest and win special prizes!
  • Who Are YOU? Photo Op- Dress up as your favorite historical icon, or create a mask at our craft station to pose in front of a Who Was? backdrop so you can be the hero of your very own "Who Is?" book cover!
  • Vote for the next Who Was? Book Subject- Cast your vote for who you'd like to see star in the next Who Was? biography.
  • Craft and Activity Table- Create your own bobblehead mask with the faces of several of history's iconic figures, create your own custom Who Is? biography, and much more.
  • Prize Wheel- Take a spin on the Who HQ prize wheel to win exclusive prizes.

It is recommended that readers be ages six-plus to participate in the trivia contests. Book categories are broken down to feature people, places, and things in history, including the American Revolution, Artists, Famous African Americans, Explorers, Inventors and Scientists, Influential Women, Musicians, Athletes and Performers, Presidents, and Writers.
