Taskforce of Tunisia on Climate/SDGs Debt Swap

Following the successful progress of the work of the inter-agency taskforce of Tunisia, and as agreed in the last meeting held in July, ESCWA organized on 27 September an in-person meeting in Tunis.

Discussions focused on Tunisia's Climate/SDGs Debt Swap Programme and the next steps forward.

ESCWA has launched the climate/SDGs debt swap initiative to support debt relief and enhance climate finance for middle-income countries in the region facing high and increasing debt burdens.
