President Maia Sandu met with mayors from the Florești district and visited the wastewater treatment plant

The Head of State met today with several representatives of local public authorities from the Florești district. During the discussions, President Maia Sandu emphasized the importance of continuing the "European Village" program, a program with results appreciated by both the people and local authorities. The head of state mentioned that approximately 90 million lei have been invested in local projects in 23 localities in the Florești district through this program.

Additionally, President Maia Sandu visited the regional wastewater treatment plant, which was recently put into operation. "One of the largest investments in the region is the wastewater treatment plant near the city, which cost almost 33 million lei, funds allocated from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development. Over 4,000 households and more than 100 economic agents benefit from this project, which means a cleaner environment and less polluted water and soil," noted President Maia Sandu.
