Tajik Russian inter MFA consultations on issues of information support for foreign policy activities and work with the Media

On September 17, 2024 Tajik -Russian inter-MFA consultations were held via videoconference at the level of heads of relevant departments of the Tajik and Russian Foreign Ministries on issues of information support for foreign policy activities and work with the media.

During the meeting, the sides had a substantive exchange of views was held on a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation with an emphasis on further strengthening coordination in the field of information policy.

The sides also agreed to strengthen cooperation to create a favorable environment in the information space and develop mutually beneficial cooperation in multilateral formats.

The importance of joint work to counter the spread of misinformation in the media space of the two countries about Tajik - Russian relations, as well as on the topic of interethnic relations was noted.
