Together with the Ukrainian Climate Office, under the Capacities for Climate Action (C4CA) project, the International Institute for Sustainable Development is organizing an event focused on the critical topic of sustainability in Ukraine's recovery and reconstruction.
The event will explore coordinated recovery strategies, the essential role of the building and housing sectors in reconstruction, and the financial aspects vital for a sustainable recovery. Key objectives include presenting findings and recommendations from recent analyses of Ukraine's green recovery plans, highlighting sustainability frameworks and approaches in the building sector, and discussing practical criteria for their implementation. Additionally, the event will delve into ensuring that sustainability is a core component and catalyst for mobilizing finance within Ukraine's reconstruction efforts.

The event is jointly organized by the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) and the Ukrainian Climate Office under the Capacities for Climate Action (C4CA) project implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) within the framework of the International Climate Initiative (IKI) and co-financed by the European Union.
