Bennett’s 2024 Driver Appreciation Week

The Bennett #21 Race Car Driven by Austin Hill Wins Three Consecutive Races at Atlanta Motor Speedway

Atlanta, GA (September 13, 2024) - Bennett's 2024 Driver Appreciation Week kicked-off on Tuesday, September 3rd, the week before National Driver Appreciation Week, to include Atlanta Motor Speedway's Fall race in which Bennett was the Official Qualifying Sponsor. Tuesday kicked-off with a Driver Relief Fund broadcast and a President's Million Mile broadcast for drivers to join via Facebook Live and the Bennett Tele-forum. On Wednesday, September 4th, the Women in the Driver's Seat broadcast highlighted the WIDS Program and celebrated the 2024 Woman Driver of Excellence winners.

On Thursday, September 5th, the BME, ACE and BHS Driver Advisory Boards gathered at the Peachtree City Hilton Hotel for in-depth meetings discussing important information for drivers across the company. Later that evening, the Driver Advisory Board members were met by Bennett Executives and Driver Appreciation Week Sponsors for a Welcome Reception and networking event.

Friday, September 6th through Sunday, September 8th brought many exciting events at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Bennett Lot located directly outside of the track. Broadcasts continued virtually for drivers that couldn't make it while many other on-site activities took place.

Early Friday morning, a Bennett Show & Shine opened to any and all guests at the speedway to vote on their favorite truck. The People's Choice voting allowed many race fans to get up-close and personal with the biggest and best rigs in Bennett's fleet. Later in the evening, a Pit Stop Celebration brought drivers, employees, agents, customers and sponsors together for dinner and a Tony Justice concert.

Saturday morning kicked-off with a sermon from Bennett Driver, Bill Blackmon, who leads Truckstop Ministries while on the road and brought his Ministry trailer for guests to experience. A safety meeting took place directly after the sermon for on-site drivers and those that joined virtually. Saturday lunch allowed everyone to gather while the Bennett Show & Shine 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners were awarded with a cash prize, trophies and ribbons. After lunch, all attendees got to enjoy Atlanta Motor Speedway and all of its offerings from the Fan Zone to race start at 3:00 p.m.

Saturday's race brought exhilarating excitement for Bennett with an Austin Hill win for the 3rd consecutive time at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Not only were drivers celebrated all week but they were also able to experience an Austin Hill win, live from track seats exclusive to Bennett.

On Sunday, September 8th, the Show & Shine drivers remained staged in the Bennett Lot for the sold-out NASCAR Cup race fans to experience before the race began.

All week long, giveaways and prizes were up for grabs through sponsor donations and the Taylor Family Foundation donation of $40,000. These prizes were spread across each broadcast and activity throughout the week and were dispersed through different avenues including the broadcast Tele-forum, Facebook Live, in-person at the track and terminals across the country. In addition to the giveaway donation, the Taylor Family Foundation matched each business unit's Driver Relief Fund up to $10,000 to ensure Bennett drivers are taken care of during difficult times.

"It is such an honor to be able to celebrate our drivers through broadcasts, events and activities each year. Driver Appreciation Week is one of our most special events where we can give a small amount back to the drivers that work tirelessly on the road every day. To our drivers, thank you for your hard work, passion and dedication to Bennett. We would not be where we are today without you."

Marcia G. Taylor, Owner and CEO of the Bennett Family of Companies and the Taylor Family Foundation

The 2024 Bennett Driver Appreciation Week was a true success, honoring and celebrating the drivers that make up the Bennett Family of Companies. We are already looking forward to celebrating our drivers in 2025.
