NOPD Seeking Juvenile Escapee and Carjacking Suspect

The NOPD is requesting the public's assistance in locating 17-year-old Carlos Taylor (pictured, DOB: 9/17/07) after escaping from JJIC on September 23, 2024.

The NOPD was notified at 2:14 p.m. Shortly after notification, a "Be On The Look Out" was issued to all NOPD districts for the subject.

An unarmed carjacking was reported around 2:12 p.m. in the 1100 block of Florida Avenue. Through investigation, Taylor was identified as the alleged perpetrator.

Taylor was arrested on 9/20/2024 on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile, Illegal use of a weapon, and aggravated criminal damage to property.
