We regret that UEFA has suspended our national footballer Merih Demiral for two matches.

International sporting events are organised to bring societies and countries closer together.

This decision has caused deep disappointment among our citizens both at home and abroad, and has reinforced the assessment that the trend of prejudice against foreigners is on the rise in some European countries.
