“Fit for Life” Senior Games Registration Opens Aug. 1

CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. (July 18, 2024) - Registration for the 2024 "Fit for Life" SeniorGameswill open Aug. 1, 2024online and in-person.

The Olympic-style event focuses on athletic competitions, camaraderie, and recreational opportunities for seniors of all ages. The gamesare sanctioned by the Florida Sports Foundation and serve as a qualifier for the Florida SeniorGamesState Championships. Pre-registration for all events is required.

"It's time to start practicing those skills," said Community Services Coordinator Lisa Smithson. "Whatever your favorite activity is, we've got a match for you." she said. Events will take place at parks and recreation centers throughout Charlotte County.

Oct. 19 -Pickleball Doubles
Oct. 20 -Pickleball Mixed
Oct. 22 -Golf
Oct. 24 -Softball Derby
Oct. 26 -Track & Field
Oct. 29 -Tennis Singles
Oct. 30 -Tennis Doubles
Oct. 31 -Tennis Mixed Doubles
Nov. 3 -RC Sailing

The final entry deadline is two weeks prior to individual events. Athletes who register after August 23, 2024are not guaranteeda t-shirt.
