Independence Day Holiday: Bismarck City Offices & Landfill Closed | Change in Collection Schedule

Bismarck City offices and the landfill will be closed on Thursday, July 4th in observance of the Independence Day holiday. There will be no garbage collection or curbside recycling (green route) collection on the holiday.

Holiday Schedule: July 1 through July 5 for Garbage and Recycling Collection:

• The Monday through Wednesday routes will be collected as normally scheduled.
• Thursday's route (July 4^th) will be collected on Friday, July 5^th.
• Garbage and Recycling must be set out by 6:00 a.m. on collection day and may be set out the evening before collection.
• Crews will not be dispatched to return to an address where items were not out in time for the initial collection.

Landfill Hours of Operation

• Open Monday through Saturday from 6am - 4pm (Effective July 1st)
• Closed on Thursday, July 4^th.

Household Hazardous Waste & Electronics Recycling Center

• The Center is located at the landfill.
• Open Monday through Wednesday from 8am - 3pm
• Closed on Thursday, July 4^th
• Open Saturday, July 6^tht from 9am - 2pm
