Allred: $4.2 Million Headed to Dallas Love Field Thanks to Bipartisan Infrastructure Law

DALLAS- Congressman Colin Allred (TX-32), a member of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, released a statement applauding over $4.27 million in funding awarded to Dallas Love Field Airport. The funding is from an Airport Infrastructure Grantmade possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which Allred championed. The grant will help improve the existing airfield drainage system and runway safety area to mitigate runway excursions and increase safety.

"Our airports are a key driver of economic growth in Dallas and across Texas, and I was proud to champion the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law because I knew it would deliver for our aviation sector," said Allred. "This funding will invest in Love Field and ensure our airlines and the workers who power this industry can continue to keep our skies safe while leading the world. I will keep working in Congress to ensure that Texas gets the investment in infrastructure we need."

As a member of the Aviation Subcommittee, Allred has consistently worked to prioritize airport improvements, workforce training and safety in the aviation sector in Texas. Earlier this year, Allred announced that nine Texas airports are receiving $91.5 million in Federal Airport Terminal Program grants. Allred also voted with a large bipartisan majority to pass a five-yearFederal Aviation Administration (FAA) billthat creates a safer and stronger aviation sector.
