New reporting from Cardinal and Pine in North Carolina reveals more details about Mark Robinson's "history of violent rhetoric against those he disagrees with" as he refuses to answer questions after declaring "We now find ourselves struggling with people who have evil intent" and "some folks need killing."The report adds that Robinson "has long made it clear who he sees as threats: abortion providers, public school teachers, and Democrats," while listing out numerous public figures as he's "frequently denounced his opponents as 'evil' and 'wicked.'"

Previously, Robinson has frequently attacked public school teachers, and called them "wicked people," mocked mass-shooting victims, and said that AR-15s were meant to be used against a government that had gotten "too big for its britches."

As Robinson addressed the Republican National Convention last night, news coverage from the New York Times, NBC, Rolling Stone, and the News & Observer noted that Robinson has faced backlash for his violent, hateful rhetoric that has worried people in state.

"This new report on Mark Robinson's long, dangerous record of violent rhetoric is especially important as he refuses to answer basic questions about his comments," said DGA National Press Secretary Devon Cruz.
