New Cycle Hub open at Talbot Campus

We are pleased to announce that our brand-new Cycle Hub is now open for use at our Talbot Campus.

The hub is located behind Dorset House and is part of our sustainability work to support staff, students and visitors to access the university by bike.

The hub includes:

Double tier pull down racking to maximise available space
Cargo bike storage areas
E-bike charging stations
Tools and bike pumps available to everyone
Visitor cycle storage areas.

Our efforts to support cycling have previously been awarded Gold standard in the Cycle Friendly Employer scheme and this new Cycle Hub further supports our cyclists.

We also provide:

Free 100-minute Beryl bike bundles for students and staff (email [email protected]to claim)
Free Bike Doctor sessions (see dates) to help keep your bike in good condition
Cycle to Work scheme to help you get a new bike
Showers, lockers and changing facilities in Poole House, Christchurch House and Bournemouth Gateway Building
BU Bike Group to connect with other cyclists
Dedicated lockers for cyclists
Active travel wristbands to make it easier to access the compounds and changing facilities (apply here)
We also have two electric bikes which staff can borrow to try for up to seven days.
