Solomon Islands National Day

On behalf of the people and Government of the United States of America and in celebration of your National Day on July 7, I offer cordial greetings and congratulations to the people of Solomon Islands.

I applaud you on successfully conducting a historic election and congratulate Jeremiah Manele on his election as the new prime minister. Our countries have long been connected through our shared sacrifices during the Guadalcanal Campaign and are poised for a bright future. We are committed to growing our bilateral relationship through promoting transparency and democratic governance, supporting sustainable economic development, and increasing people-to-people ties.

On this 46th commemoration of your independence, I offer the United States' hearty congratulations to all Solomon Islanders on this meaningful occasion.
