Inspection Planned for Route 283 Bridge Over I-283 in Lower Swatara Township, Dauphin County

There will be lane restrictions in both directions of I-283

Harrisburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the Route 283 bridge spanning Interstate 283 at Exit 1A/1B in Lower Swatara Township, Dauphin County is scheduled to be inspected next Monday and Tuesday. There will be lane restrictions on I-283.

Weather permitting, the Route 283 bridge spanning I-283 will be inspected between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM Monday, August 5, and Tuesday, August 6. There will be alternating left and right lane restrictions in both directions of I-283 while this work is performed.

Motorist should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone.
