The Celebrations on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King's 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary July 28, 2024

On the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King's 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary July 28, 2024, the Royal Thai Consulate-General in New York, in collaboration with Team Thailand agencies in New York and the Thai community within its consular jurisdiction, organized activities to express loyalty and profound gratitude for His Majesty the King's boundless benevolence, with Miss Somjai Taphaopong, Consul General, presiding over the following ceremonies.

On July 20, 2024, the Royal Thai Consulate-General organized celebratory ceremonies with Team Thailand agencies at the Vajiradhammapadip Temple in New York. The activities included a Buddhist chanting and merit-making ceremony, an alms-giving ceremony, a royal tribute ceremony, a pledging an oath of allegiance ceremony to be a good public servant and a power of the nation, and a signing ceremony to extend best wishes to His Majesty. Additionally, the Thai community joined in the volunteer activity of planting trees around the temple to create merit and benefit for the public.

On June 22-23, 2024, the Royal Thai Consulate-General held celebratory ceremonies at the Mongkoltepmunee Temple in Pennsylvania. Officials and staff of the Consulate General and Team Thailand agencies, together with the Thai community, participated in a candle-lighting ceremony to extend best wishes to His Majesty, a Buddhist chanting and merit-making ceremony, an alms-giving ceremony, and the volunteer activity of planting trees around the temple.

From May to June 2024, the Royal Thai Consulate-General also organized celebratory activities at the Consul General's residence. These included a Dhamma talk by the Venerable Phra Phrom Phacharayanamuni (Ajahn Jayasāro) on May 16, 2024, and a candle-lighting ceremony to extend best wishes to His Majesty on May 31, 2024. Furthermore, the Royal Thai Consulate-General participated in celebratory activities at Nawamintararachutis Temple, Massachusetts,held on June 15-16, 2024, along with the Thai community.
