The winners for the 2024 Holiday Home Lighting Competition have been selected:

Best Overall Winner

Best Handmade / DIY Decor

• 12932 Truman St

Neighborhood Spirit - Tie

The City will bring refreshments to the Neighborhood Spirit winner locations. Due to weather, the date and time is to be determined. The City will post an announcement once the dates have been selected.

• Cedros Avenue represents community spirit by carrying on tradition with decorations from the 1950's that were passed down from previous homeowners, and the neighborhood has carried on the tradition and refurbishing and recreating some of the aged and lost decor.
• Newport Ct represent modern day neighborhood spirit by lighting up the block with lights, inflatables, music, a snow machine, and even some handmade decor.

• District 5 - 245 Douglas Ave
• District 6 - 1600 Newport Ct

A panel of judges and the Planning Committee visited each of the 14 semifinalist homes and the 2 group entries this past Sunday. Each entry was scored on wow factor, creativity, and holiday spirit, plus handmade/DIY decor for homes that entered into that category.

The Holiday Home Lighting Competition has been going on for almost 20 years, and the Planning Committee is looking to revamp next year's competition to increase participation and add additional categories.
