Join us for HLC site visit forums, October 28-29, 2024

As part of Illinois State University's reaccreditation process, the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) peer review team is coming to campus on October 28-29, 2024.

During their visit, the peer review team will assess our institution's adherence to HLC criteria and our commitment to our mission. They will interact with various members of our campus community to gain a comprehensive understanding of our operations, achievements, and areas for growth.

HLC's one-and-a-half-day visit is a crucial part of our institutional accreditation process and requires the engagement and participation of our entire campus community.

To facilitate this, we have scheduled three open forums on Monday, October 28, and Tuesday, October 29, 2024:

Faculty Forum

• Monday, October 28, 2024
• 1-2 p.m.
• Vrooman Center (located in East Campus in between Manchester Hall and Hewett Hall on W. College Avenue)

Staff Forum

• Monday, October 28, 2024
• 3:15-4 p.m.
• Vrooman Center (located in East Campus in between Manchester Hall and Hewett Hall on W. College Avenue)

Student Forum

• Tuesday, October 29, 2024
• 10:30-11:15 a.m.
• Prairie Room, Bone Student Center

The HLC accreditation process is vital to our institution, as it:

• Ensures the quality and integrity of our academic programs

• Demonstrates our commitment to continuous improvement

• Maintains our eligibility for federal funding and financial aid programs

• Enhances our reputation and credibility within the higher education community
