To receive the prestigious ICMA credential, a member must have significant experience as a senior management executive in local government; have earned a degree, preferably in public administration or a related field; and demonstrated a commitment to high standards of integrity and to lifelong learning and professional development.
"We are so proud of Ronda for her achievement," said Mayor Austin Bishop. "This designation showcases her professional accomplishment, dedication to lifelong learning and drive for community improvement. It is inspiring to see her hard work recognized on a national level."

"This widely respected designation demonstrates her continuous and diligent work to increase the quality of life in Palmdale for all residents. She models a dedicated commitment to lifelong learning and professional development that makes her an ideal candidate for this honor. Most of all, through her leadership, she has brought stability to City staff after a difficult period of instability brought on by the previous City Manager."
