Dunmore, PA- The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) seeks hardworking individuals to work in the Winter Maintenance Program from September 2024 through April 2025! If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, team environment on a seasonal basis, or with the potential for promotion into a permanent position, this is the job for you.

If you have student loan debt, working for the Commonwealth gets you one step closer to loan forgiveness through the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF). PSLF provides employees who work in public service some relief on their student loans. Working for the Commonwealth is considered public service under PSLF. Through PSLF, borrowers with Federal Direct Loans making payments in certain repayment plans can have the balance of the student loans forgiven after making 120 qualifying payments.

Military membersand recently honorably discharged veterans who possess at least two years of experience in operating a commercial motor vehicle as part of their military job requirements may qualify for these opportunities based on meeting the Military Commercial Driver's License Skills Testing Waiver (DL-398 Form(Download PDF reader)) as found on www.dmv.pa.gov.
