SB I-83 off-ramp at Exit 32 in York County will be closed next week for concrete slab repairs

Harrisburg, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a districtwide pavement preservation project is set to begin next week with work on the southbound Interstate 83 off-ramp at Exit 32 (Route 382/Newberrytown) in York County.

Weather permitting, the southbound I-83 off-ramp at Exit 32 will be closed at approximately 3:00 AM Monday, July 29, so concrete slab repairs can be performed on the ramp. The closure is expected to be in place for up to a week, but may be lifted sooner, depending on how work progresses.

A detour will be in place. Travelers on southbound I-83 should continue south to Exit 28 (Route 297/Strinestown/Zions View), then return on northbound I-83 to Exit 32.

This project consists of concrete patching, crack sealing and other on call services for sinkhole repair and roadway repairs, along with other miscellaneous construction on various routes in the PennDOT District 8 region consisting of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry and York counties.

New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company, Inc., of New Enterprise, PA, is the contractor on this $1,510,000 project. All work on this contract is expected to be completed by July 1, 2026.
