Seattle - At 2:43 a.m., the Seattle Fire Department's Fire Alarm Center received 911 calls reporting a fire in a tiny home village in the 500 block of Elliott Ave. W. in the Lower Queen Anne neighborhood. The first firefighters on scene reported multiple homes were on fire and worked quickly to evacuate the entire facility, including a larger building used as a shelter, as a safety precaution.

Crews had the fire under control by 3:09 a.m. and searched the impacted homes to confirm no occupants were trapped. The fire was fully extinguished by 4:27 a.m.

25 tiny homes were damaged in the fire, and managers of the facility coordinated with King County Metro on rehousing the displaced residents. No injuries were reported.

Seattle Police took one person into custody, but the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
