ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA - Winthrop University's newest Eagles have officially landed on campus for the institution's 139th academic year! Learn more about the Class of 2028:

*Within the contiguous United States, Paige Bennett (sport management) traveled the farthest to attend Winthrop. She soared 2,267 miles from Pleasanton, California, to play volleyball for the Winthrop Eagles!
*Outside of the U.S., Ella Collins (art) traveled 3,651 miles from Cork, Ireland. Meanwhile, Liam McCallum (biology) transferred from Sydney, Australia, 9,503 miles away!

COOL NOTES
*Braden Heffner (exercise science) is world-ranked in Rocket League, an esports game.
*Allison Elhardt (sport management) competed in the U.S. Figure Skating Association's National Showcase with a broken foot. She received a Bronze Award for qualifying for the event and placed 15th out of 32 skaters.
*Ryan Armijo (business administration) grew up overseas, lived in India and England, and traveled to more than 20 countries.
*Lauren Green (elementary education) danced twice in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
*Thomas Fuller (English) competed with his high school team at the national Science Olympiad.
*DeAngelo Brooks (sport management) competed at the New Balance Nationals in track and field.
*Sydney Pugh (business administration) was selected as the student speaker at the 2022 national Advancement via Individual Determination (AVID) Conference.
