July 17, 2024 Letter: Joint Letter to CFPB on Proposed Regulation X

USMI joined American Bankers Association, Community Home Lenders of America, Housing Policy Council, Independent Community Bankers of America, Mortgage Bankers Association, National Mortgage Servicing Association, and the Structured Finance Association in sending a letter to request an extension of the public comment period for the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau's (CFPB) proposed amendments to Regulation X. The coalition stated that a longer comment period is appropriate to meaningfully address significant and potentially complex issues, such as the new procedural review period, which are covered by the rulemaking.
