Denver Police Arrest Suspect in 2300 Block N. Federal Blvd. Homicide

Denver - Monday, September 23, 2024 - Today, the Denver Police Department announces the arrest of George Vigil (DOB: 4/9/05) for the homicide of an adult male, which occurred in the 2300 block of North Federal Boulevard on September 22, 2024.

At approximately 5:21 p.m., on Sunday, September 22, 2024, Denver Police officers responded to a reported stabbing in a residence. When officers arrived, they located one victim suffering from apparent sharp force injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where they were pronounced deceased.

The preliminary findings of the investigation reveal that the suspect and victim were known to each other and had an argument that escalated into a physical altercation and stabbing. Investigators identified George Vigil as the suspect, placed him under arrest, and he is currently being held for Investigation of Second-Degree Murder.

Per standard protocol, the final determination of charges will be made by the Denver District Attorney's Office. The Office of the Medical Examiner will release the victim's identity and cause and manner of death.
