(Ottawa)-The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit and Guns and Gangs Unit are seeking assistance in identifying persons of interest in a series of criminal incidents that are believed to be linked.
On June 4th, 2024 patrol officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop with a black Ford Mustang in the area of Greenbank Road and Hunt Club Road. As officers approached the vehicle to further investigate, the vehicle fled by u-turning and proceeding east on Hunt Club Road. The vehicle was later located abandoned.
On September 9th, 2024 several shots were fired in the Tanglewood area. Multiple casings were seized and responding officers located an abandoned red Kia Soul on Brockington Crescent with several bullet holes in it.
Investigators believe the same individuals occupied both the Ford Mustang and the Kia Soul.
It was also determined that the occupants of these two vehicles may be linked to the unsolved March 2021 murder of Leo Santostefano (also see our release issued in September 2024) as well as the unsolved shooting on Lamira Street of July 18th 2022 that resulted with one person suffering non-life threatening injuries.
The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit and Guns and Gangs Unit are seeking assistance in identifying the two persons linked to these vehicles (see photos).
Anyone with information regarding the identity of the persons in the pictures from the March 2021 homicide and the July 2022 shooting, or information relating to who may have been driving the black Ford Mustang on June 4th, 2024 or the red Kia Soul on September 9th, 2024 is asked to contact the Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit 613-236-1222, ext. 5493 or the Guns and Gangs Unit, ext. 5050.
