Napa County is under an excessive heat warning per the National Weather Service July 2, 2024 - July 6, 2024.
The warning means hot conditions could pose health risks due to long duration of heat with little overnight relief. As Napa County closely monitors the forecast and actual temperatures, it's important to practice heat safety. Here are heat safety tips and resources:

According to the National Weather Service, parts of the Napa County are under a Red Flag Warning July 1 - 3 due to the combination of winds and low humidity. With the potential impact including easier fire start and rapid spread, it's important to exercise fire safety precautions and to have an emergency plan ready to go.
The Bay Area Air Quality Management District has issued a Spare the Air Alert for smog through Wednesday, July 3. Spare the Air Alerts are issued when ozone pollution is forecast to reach unhealthy levels. It's recommended that outdoor exercise should be undertaken only in the early morning hours when ozone concentrations are lower.
