Autopsy complete, charge laid in south Edmonton death

The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) has charged a 34-year-old man in relation to the death of a male at a south Edmonton apartment complex earlier this week.

At approximately 5:13 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, Southwest Branch patrol officers responded to an apartment complex in the area of 82 Avenue and 97 Street. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased adult male inside a suite.

Earlier today, Friday, June 28, 2024, the Edmonton Medical Examiner completed an autopsy on Krishnil Mani, 37, and determined he died as a result of multiple stab wounds. The manner of death was homicide.

Homicide detectives have since charged the man they took into custody, Nathan Nanemahoo, 34,with second degree murder in relation to Mani's death. Both men were known to one another.
