Liberty Bank Foundation Approves $303,000 in Grants

Bringing Grant Funding Total to Over $1.73 Million for 2024, Supporting 137 Community Partners

The Liberty Bank Foundation recently announced that it collectively approved $303,000 in grant awards for nearly 30 community partners that serve communities in Greater Hartford, Middlesex County, Greater New London and Massachusetts. In total, Liberty Bank Foundation has invested more than $1,732,000 in grants so far this year.

Organizations receiving grants in the latest round of approvals include: the American Cancer Society ($50,000); The Hundred Club of Connecticut ($25,000); Connecticut Veterans Legal Center ($10,000); Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven ($15,000); Waterbury Promise Inc. ($10,000); Boys & Girls Club of Greater Holyoke ($15,000); Higher Edge in New London ($10,000); Windham Public Schools ($10,000); The Connecticut RISE Network ($10,000);and Southside Institutions Neighborhood Alliance, Inc. (SINA) in Hartford ($15,000).

In addition, Liberty Bank Foundation awarded several more grants ranging from $5,000 to $8,000 to address vital community needs, including: childhood education, workforce readiness, affordable homeownership, food insecurity, and programming support for various nonprofits.
