Boise's Popular Dog Off-leash Program Returns to Three City Parks In November

October 29, 2024

Boise Parks and Recreation is excited to announce the return of its seasonal dog off-leash program at three parks located across the City of Boise: Ann Morrison Park, Optimist Youth Sports Complex and Simplot Sports Complex. As the fall sports season comes to a close, these three parks provide the perfect environment to take your four-legged friend out for some exercise and play.

Off-Leash Season Start Dates

All areas of the three parks are available for off-leash use from sunrise to sunset, with the exception of Boise River Greenbelt paths, parking lots, roads and playgrounds.

At Ann Morrison Park, the Together Treasure Valley Dog Island remains open year-round, but as winter approaches, water levels in the surrounding ponds are lowered. For the safety of both you and your pet, please be cautious around the banks and avoid unsafe ice. Warning signs will be posted throughout the park to help guide you.
