Pizzulli Tours Local School District, Meets with Faculty

COLUMBUS -State Rep. Justin Pizzulli (R-Scioto County) recently toured Manchester Local School District in Scioto County. During the tour, Pizzulli met with school board members and faculty to discuss the Fair School Funding Plan and specifically, fair school funding for rural, Appalachian schools.

"I am committed to making sure our rural, Appalachian schools have access to the funding and resources necessary to set every student up for success," said Pizzulli. "It was great to meet with local educators and school board members. I am grateful for their commitment to educating and investing in the children in our communities."

The Fair School Funding Plan is an updated way to finance public education in Ohio. The plan aims to reduce the reliance on local property taxes and ensure that each school district, regardless of wealth, is fairly funded by the state so that each student has equal access to educational opportunities. The state's most recent two-year operating budget makes a historic investment of $16 billion in the Fair School Funding Plan.
