Chairman McCaul Issues Statement on Arrest of Sinaloa Cartel Kingpins

Washington, D.C. - Today, House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Michael McCaul issued the following statement on the arrest of Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada Garcia and Joaquin Guzman Lopez, the operational leaders of the violent Sinaloa Cartel.

"Ismael Zambada Garcia and Joaquin Guzman Lopez led the operations of the violent Sinaloa Cartel, the Mexican criminal organization responsible for trafficking fentanyl and other drugs into the U.S. and ravaging American communities. They are guilty of mass murder, and I applaud U.S. law enforcement for this historic arrest. It's far past time these two drug kingpins face justice for their culpability in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans."
