MURDER INVESTIGATION – 3300 BLOCK OF LONG BEACH BOULEVARD

Homicide detectives are investigating the death of a male adult that occurred on Oct. 17, 2024 in the 3300 block of Long Beach Boulevard.

At approximately 12:35 a.m., officers were dispatched to a person who was unresponsive and lying on the road.

Upon arrival, officers located a male adult victim underneath the 405 Freeway underpass with multiple stab wounds. Long Beach Fire Department personnel were on already scene, rendering medical aid and attempting life-saving measures. The victim was subsequently transported to a local hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene, and the motive and circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.

The victim's identity is being withheld pending the next of kin notification.
