Homicide Investigation - Kit Carson Street and Revere Street

MEDIA ADVISORY/NEWS RELEASE

On Sunday, November 3, 2024, just before 1:30 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the area of Kit Carson Street and Revere Street for reports of a shooting. Responding officers located one male adult with at least one gunshot wound. Officers provided emergency medical aid to the victim until Sacramento Fire Personnel arrived on scene. Sadly, the victim was pronounced deceased on scene.

Due to the circumstances, homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to take over the investigation. They will be processing the scene, canvassing the area, and interviewing witnesses. The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation. No arrests have been made and there is no suspect information to provide at this time.

The Sacramento County Coroner's Office will release the identity of the deceased after next of kin have been notified.
