Snowshoe Lacing Workshop at Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center

WASHBURN, N.D. - Challenge yourself to a learn a new skill in 2025. Registration is now open for a snowshoe lacing workshop Saturday, Jan. 18, 2025, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center in Washburn.

Master the knot and lacing pattern as you complete your own pair of snowshoes in this hands-on workshop led by seasoned instructors. Work at your own pace to finish at least one snowshoe in class and be confident enough with the lacing pattern to continue at home if necessary.

The workshop is geared for those 16 and up. The cost is $175 plus taxes and fees and covers the snowshoe kit and instruction. Water and coffee will be available. Lunch will not be provided, and participants should bring a sack lunch or order from a nearby restaurant.

Registration for the workshop is required by Tuesday, Dec. 17, and can be accessed at snowshoe-lacing.eventbrite.com. Space is limited.

The Interpretive Center is open Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Fort Mandan State Historic Site is open for guided tours; check in at the Interpretive Center.
