Greenberg Traurig Advised ZE PAK and Polsat Plus Group in connection with the Largest Wind Farm Investment in Poland

WARSAW - 2 July 2024 - Greenberg Traurig advised ZE PAK S.A., one of the leaders of the energy transition in Poland, and PAK-Polska Czysta Energia sp. z o.o., member of the Polsat Plus Group, one of the largest companies in Poland and a leading media and telecommunications group in the region, in connection with a joint investment involving the acquisition of all shares in two special purpose companies implementing a wind power complex project. As part of the investment, ZE PAK S.A. acquired 99% of the shares and PAK Polska Czysta Energia sp. z o.o. acquired 1%, with the conclusion of a document summarizing the rights of the future shareholders' agreement, which provides for the possibility of increasing the participation of PAK Polska Czysta Energia sp. z o.o. in the project.

The project, with a planned total connected power of approximately 500 MW, will be built in the Opole province. It is the largest planned onshore wind farm complex in Poland to date.

The transaction was led by Local Partner Paulina Kimla-Kaczorowska, supported by Partner Daniel Kaczorowski. The transaction team also included Associates Marcin Gralewski, Michał Kuratowski and Szymon Grudzień, and Junior Associate Justyna Kozik.
