Notice of Traffic Delays

Avalon Boulevard (CR 601), Sea Isle Boulevard (CR 625) and Roosevelt Boulevard (CR 623)

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE, NJ --During the week of September 16, 2024, biennial inspections of the Ingrams Thorofare Bridge (Cr 601 - Avalon Boulevard), the Crook Horn Bridge (Cr 623- Roosevelt Boulevard) and the Ludlam's Thorofare bridge (Cr 625- Sea Isle Boulevard) will be taking place during the week. The consultant will be using an under-deck platform truck (Snooper) that will allow inspectors to access the underside of the bridge decks and underdeck superstructure. This platform vehicle will occupy one lane of the bridges as it proceeds along the bridge length. During this time, traffic over the bridge will consist of one lane of travel with alternating traffic passing the moving operation. Traffic will be maintained during the moving operation but there will be some delays. Below are the anticipated dates when the inspections will occur:

Monday, September 16, 2024

  • Westbound lane closure along Ingrams Thorofare bridge. Traffic along the bridge will be one way alternating.

Tuesday, September 17, 2024, and Wednesday, September 18, 2024

  • Westbound lane closure along Ludlam's Thorofare bridge. Traffic along the bridge will be one way alternating.

Thursday, September 19, 2024, and Friday, September 20, 2024

  • Eastbound lane closure along Crook Horn bridge. Traffic along the bridge will be one way alternating.
