Investigation into Fatal Crash at 12400 Briar Forest Drive

August 1, 2024- Houston police are investigating a fatal crash at 12400 Briar Forest Drive about 1:20 p.m. on Wednesday (July 31).

The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant F. Briones and Officer K. Stout reported:

The male was driving a silver Porsche Macan at a high rate of speed westbound at the above address when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree in the median. The impact caused the Porsche to catch on fire. Paramedics pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. A male passenger, 21, was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No other vehicles or persons were involved in the crash. The investigation is continuing.
