France strongly condemns the latest Israeli strikes in Gaza that struck a school and an orphanage in northern Gaza, as well as a house in Khan Younis in the south, leaving nearly 40 dead, according to preliminary estimates. For the past several weeks, the Israeli army has repeatedly targeted civilian infrastructure where people are seeking refuge.

In light of the absolute emergency in Gaza, France reiterates its call for the immediate, unconditional release of all the hostages and an immediate and permanent ceasefire that must allow for the massive, unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid.
