The Georgia College & State University men's and co-rec intramural flag football teams both went 2-0 in their respective divisions Monday, Dec. 16, at the NIRSA National Championships in Middleburg, Florida.
The co-rec "Future Parents" team beat the University of Central Florida 33-12 then won over the University of Houston in a 26-25 thriller. The men's "Future Daddy's" team won a 7-6 nailbiter over the University of Maryland, following that up with a 48-14 victory over Tarleton State University.
Both teams will receive a bye in bracket play, beginning today. The "Future Daddy's" will start action in the quarterfinals at 2:30 p.m. against the winner of Tarleton State and UNC Charlotte. The "Future Parents" will battle Maryland in the semifinals today at 4 p.m. The title games are set for Wednesday, Dec. 18.
