Malik Turrentine Wanted for Sunday Night Murder Outside Foster Avenue Residential Program for Men

An arrest warrant charging criminal homicide has been issued against Malik Turrentine, 19, for Sunday night's fatal shooting of Michael Harvell, 44, outside a building operated by 4:13 Strong, a residential program for men at 1276 Foster Avenue.
Turrentine is considered to be armed and dangerous. Anyone seeing him or knowing his whereabouts is asked to contact Nashville Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

The investigation shows that there was a fight among residents on Saturday, during which Harvell's stepson was allegedly assaulted. Harvell and his wife took their son away from the property on Saturday and returned Sunday night for a meeting with program staff and residents. While there, another altercation apparently occurred among residents. Turrentine emerged outside of a building, was confronted, and fatally shot Harvell.

Turrentine is currently on probation stemming from his February arrest on drug and gun charges. He was reportedly in the 4:13 Strong program by court order.
