2024/08/29 MOL, The Bank of Nagoya Form Alliance to Support for Foreign Workers

August 29, 2024

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL) and The Bank of Nagoya today announced the signing of a business agreement regarding support for foreign personnel working in Japan. Through this agreement, the two companies will help companies meet their increasing demand for foreign workers, a trend that is expected to continue in the future.

Leveraging the experience and expertise it has accumulated over many years in training international seafarers, MOL has developed a foreign human resources consulting business, which places workers in a wide range of industries, serving companies that are considering hiring new employees from abroad or expanding their recruitment of foreign personnel.
The Bank of Nagoya has been supporting the resolution of human resource-related issues for its corporate customers since 2019, when it became the first bank in the Chubu region to launch a placement service.
In forming a business alliance between MOL, which has a wealth of experience in recruiting foreign personnel, and The Bank of Nagoya, which has a diverse customer base, the two companies will connect workers and companies across borders, promote employment and retention of foreign human resources, while addressing labor shortages in local industries in Japan and contributing to the sustainable development of local communities.
