Fighting to End the Border Crisis

Unimaginable things are unfolding across the country because of the Biden Administration's disastrous open border policies. Every single day, thousands of illegal aliens, violent criminals, and deadly drugs are pouring into our communities, compromising our national security further and further with each moment that passes.

The strongest border security bill in history-formally known as H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act-passed the U.S. House over a year ago. Unfortunately, Senate Democrats and the Biden Administration would rather continue to put American families at risk than prioritize our national security and advance this critically important legislation.

While H.R. 2 continues to collect dust on Chuck Schumer's desk, House Republicans are steadfast in our refusal to sit around and disregard the unprecedented national security, ecological, and humanitarian crisis that's raging on across our country. This week, we brought the latest appropriations bill to the floor for a vote, with critical provisions included to crack down on the border crisis that has jeopardized the safety and security of every American.

The Fiscal Year 2025 Homeland Security Appropriations Act included funding for 22,000 Border Patrol agents, $600 million to complete the Southern Border wall, and billions in funding to support our national security and remove dangerous illegal aliens from our country. We cannot allow this crisis to continue any further, and the passage of this bill was a substantial step forward in forcing action to secure the border. I urge my colleagues in the Senate to swiftly follow suit.
