CITY OF DOVER - LEAF COLLECTION

The Department of Public Works announces the following schedule for the collection of leaves: Starting October 14, 2024 and ending January 17, 2025 LEAVES MAY BE PLACED IN THE CITY STREET FOR COLLECTION.

For most areas leaves in the street will be collected the day after your normal trash pickup day.

• First Day of Monday Leaf Collection will be Monday 10/14/2024 Last Day will be Monday 01/13/2025
• First Day of Tuesday Leaf Collection will be Tuesday 10/15/2024 Last Day will be Tuesday 01/14/2025
• First Day of Wednesday Leaf Collection will be Wednesday 10/16/2024 Last Day will be Wednesday 01/15/2025
• First Day of Thursday Leaf Collection will be Thursday 10/17/2024 Last Day will be Thursday 01/16/2025
• First Day of Friday Leaf Collection will be Friday 10/18/2024 Last Day will be Friday 01/17/2025

Areas where street sweeping occurs overnight will have their leaves collected on the street sweeping schedule.

After January 12, 2024, regular yard waste collection rules apply. All leaves must be placed in privately owned 35 gallon or less plastic yard waste containers. Yard waste containers are picked up on the regular weekly collection schedule. Only loose leaves/yard waste material can be placed inside the containers. No plastic or paper bags can be used.

Note: Circumstances beyond the City of Dover's control such as rain, ice, or mechanical issues may cause a delay, however all leaves will still be collected.

* IF USING A CONTRACTOR TO GATHER LEAVES PUBLIC WORKS REQUESTS A CONTRACTOR IS UTILIZED FOR REMOVAL*
