City Of Las Vegas Municipal Court Receives $47,000 Grant
From Nevada Department Of Public Safety

Funds Will Provide Spanish-Language Case Management
To DUI Specialty Court Participants

The Nevada Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety, announced it has awarded a $47,000 grant to the city of Las Vegas Municipal Court to extend services that promote safety in the community. The one-year grant that begins Oct. 1, 2024, is intended to improve traffic safety in Southern Nevada by funding Spanish-language case management services to participants in the Municipal Court's DUI Specialty Court.

The DUI Specialty Court program provides intensive supervision and treatment services to repeat DUI offenders who have been diagnosed with a substance-abuse disorder. The DUI Court program will serve approximately 100 participants in the coming year, supporting them to lead drug- and alcohol-free lives.
