Welcome to the LBPD Blotter!

As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department's homepage and on the "News" tab of the Department's website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.

Here's a recap of incidents occurring last night:

  • Officers investigate a hit shooting - Los Angeles Riverbed: On Nov. 10, 2024 at approximately 5:49 p.m., officers responded to a local hospital regarding a shooting report. Upon arrival, officers contacted a 17-year-old male victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower body. The victim stated he was walking in an unknown area of the Los Angeles Riverbed when he heard a loud noise that he believed to be a gunshot and was struck in the lower body. The victim self-transported to a local hospital. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate a crime scene. Suspect information and motive for the shooting are under investigation.


Great work, officers! Last night, officers safely took a gun off the streets -

  • On Nov. 10, 2024 at approximately 7:58 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Anaheim Street. During the investigation, officers recovered a firearm. The suspect, who was determined to be a prohibited possessor, was arrested. The investigation is ongoing.
