Three Teen Robbery Suspects Arrested

Violent Crimes detectives Friday night arrested three teen robbery suspects after seeing them in a stolen Chevrolet Camaro on Linbar Drive. The Camaro had been taken during a carjacking early Friday morning outside a convenience store at 15109 Old Hickory Boulevard.

Prior to police attempting to stop the vehicle, the driver pulled into an apartment complex at 5099 Linbar Drive where they robbed two men at gunpoint. Detectives successfully deployed spike strips. An MNPD helicopter followed the fleeing Camaro until the three suspects bailed from the car. They were all apprehended.

Marvin Cruz and David Hminghlu, both 17, and Davi Ortega, 16, are each charged in Juvenile Court with aggravated robbery. A handgun was recovered.
