Bogotá, December 12, 2024 - AWS Marketplace, a digital catalog thousands of third-party software, services, and data, now enables customers worldwide to discover and purchase solutions from Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Channel Partners, including Resellers, SIs and GSIs" based in Colombia. This expansion aims to increase the variety of software and data offerings, adding to the more than 20,000 listings of solutions and data products from over 5,000 sellers. The addition of Colombia to AWS Marketplace allows Colombian partners to gain a new market route, reaching global buyers of AWS Marketplace. Vendors can sell various types of software (SaaS, Containers, AMIs) offering flexible pricing models, based on consumption and multi-year agreements.
Colombia is the first country in Latin America where local technology providers can offer their solutions in AWS Marketplace, making it easier for customers to find and deploy third-party software and data products to build on AWS. AWS Marketplace will continue to be operated by Amazon Web Services, Inc., with all transactions conducted in US dollars.
According to a Forrester Consulting study on AWS Marketplace, sellers experienced benefits such as an 80% increase in deal sizes, 27% more closed deals, 40% faster sales cycle (from five to three months), and up to 20% of pipeline generated through AWS and partner programs such as ISV-A.
Solutions from Colombian ISVs such as Software Colombia, CARI AI, and Nuevosmedios are now available on AWS Marketplace. Additionally, Channel Partners like Ikusi, Axity Colombia, Netdata, and AndeanTrade can now sell software and services with AWS Marketplace through Channel Partner Private Offers (CPPO). These Colombian ISVs and Channel Partners join the growing ecosystem of third-party partners on AWS Marketplace, with more products being added regularly.
"The addition of Colombia to AWS Marketplace marks a significant milestone in our expansion strategy, as well as our long-term commitment to the country"," said Daniel Saldarriaga, Country Manager of AWS Colombia. "This move opens new opportunities in the growing of the LATAM market and expands the reach and selection of AWS Marketplace by leveraging Colombia's digital economy. In this way, it helps local providers advance in their partnership with AWS, creating a path to join important AWS Partner Programs such as ISV Accelerate (ISV-A) to increase visibility and growth," he assured.
This launch lays the foundation for future growth, increased customer satisfaction, and a more robust and diverse AWS Partner Network, aligned with AWS's commitment to supporting local technology partners while providing global customers with diverse, high-quality solutions. It builds on announcements from re:Invent last week, where AWS announced Buy with AWS, a new feature that allows partners to embed the streamlined product procurement process of AWS Marketplace into their own websites.
