CABEI and Mafex renew collaboration agreement to promote Spanish advisory services for railway projects in the region

Madrid, September 4 - The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) and the Spanish Railway Association (Mafex) have renewed their collaboration agreement, with the purpose of strengthening the counseling, exchange, and transfer of knowledge of the Spanish railway sector in order to support the development of railway projects in CABEI member countries.

The signing ceremony, held today in Madrid, was attended by Gisela Sánchez, CABEI's Executive President, and Víctor Ruiz, President of Mafex. This agreement reaffirms the commitment of both organizations to promote Spanish expertise in the railway industry, recognized for its excellence, in order to contribute to the advancement of railway infrastructure in the region.

Víctor Ruiz underscored the relevance of this collaboration: "Since 2005, Spain has been a valued member of the Central American Bank for Economic Integration, which has allowed us to strengthen our cooperation in strategic sectors such as railways. The renewal of this agreement, initiated in 2019, reflects the solid relationship between CABEI, Mafex and the Spanish railway industry, and our joint commitment to continue advancing this collaboration."

Gisela Sánchez said: "The renewal of this agreement with Mafex demonstrates our commitment to the sustainable development of the countries we serve. Collaboration with the Spanish rail industry gives us access to advanced technologies and expertise that are essential to modernize our infrastructure. We are convinced that this joint effort will not only improve connectivity in the region, but will also boost the economic, social, and environmental growth of our communities."
